Hopewell Community Closet Summer Clearance Sale

The Hopewell Community Closet will hold its summer clearance "bag" sale on Saturday, August 26, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Hopewell Methodist Church, 20 Blackwell Ave., Hopewell Borough.

Everything you can stuff in a bag for $3.00. All our summer inventory must go to make way for fall and winter stock. Men's, women's, children's clothing, shoes and handbags, accessories are included in the sale. We have sizes for infants and children and ladies clothing to size 3X.

The mission of the Hopewell Community Closet is to provide access to free or low cost clothing to individuals and families that are financially struggling while maintaining their dignity and providing clothes to meet their needs. This outreach is sponsored by the United Methodist Women of Hopewell Methodist Church and donations accepted support UMW missions and outreach.

We support local charities and the children served by No Child Cold/No Child Hungry in Berea, KY. The closet is regularly open each Saturday for shopping and accepting donations of gently used clothing, shoes and handbags. Japanese Textile Patterning & Dyeing Workshop, Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association

Come in out of the summer heat and enjoy a full day of play and creativity in this Shibori hand-dyeing workshop with master fiber artist Lian Sawires. We will create texture and patterns, while exploring 2 unique types of dyeing. Beginners and advanced textile artists will both find a wealth of inspiration and creative possibility in this full day shibori intensive. Bring a lunch and your own fabrics to add to the three silk scarves we will provide. $35.00 material fee is payable to instructor on day of workshop. This workshop is for 15yo teens through adults.

Art courses are conducted by instructors from the Arts Council of Princeton. SBMWA Teacher-Naturalists provide course enrichment in the form of short hikes and nature interpretation.
