Princeton, NJ Local Government

Princeton covers an area of 18.1 square miles in the heart of central New Jersey. It is composed of the former Township of Princeton and Borough of Princeton which consolidated effective January, 2013 and is now known as Princeton. The population of Princeton is approximately 30,000. Liz Lempert is the current Mayor of Princeton. Her term expires 2016.

The Municipality of Princeton is proud to announce that it has created a new Department called Access Princeton. The idea is to offer superior customer service to its residents. The department will be located in Monument Hall, 1 Monument Drive and will be the first stop for “all things Princeton”. If you are unsure about the department you need to access or if you have a simple question about your taxes, call Access Princeton at 609-924-4141. The Department will also be offering free notary services for residents. The hours of operation will be Mon–Fri 8a–5p.
